Therefore NNYU is dedicated to providing its students with a varied education with an international influence and striving to expand student mobility. Increasing the number of bilateral agreements and exchanges remain as the prime aim. Every department has an Erasmus coordinator who provides academic and practical advice to exchange students and closely works with the International Relations Office. As a newly founded University, short term plans for student mobility only covers Bachelor degree students. The official educational language of the university is Turkish so, at least 4 courses for each programme is planned to be translated in English to facilitate hosting of foreign students.

Thus, NNYU will promote work mobility and encourage its students through a series of seminars.
Turkey has strong and historical ties with Balkan countries such as Macedonia, Romania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece and Bulgaria; also have blood ties with some Central Asian Republics such as Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, and Kazakhstan. This makes Balkan and Central Asia countries as the natural target groups of NNYU for student and staff mobility. However, in the near future NNYU is eager to extent its geographical scope to cover Central, Northern and Southern Europe. Namely Czech Republic, Germany, Poland, and Slovenia form Central Europe; Norway, Sweden, and United Kingdom from Northern Europe; Spain, Italy, and Cyprus from Southern Europe are identified as our major target groups for the coming 5 years period.
